How many Dental Implants do I need?
For a lower denture we would normally place 2 dental implants into your jaw. This would be strong enough to securely hold your denture in place and stop it from moving. For upper dentures we normally place 4 dental implants. The bone in your upper jaw tends to be a bit thinner and so we need to place more dental implants to be sure that everything remains strong.
Am I too old for Dental Implants?
You are never too old for Dental Implants. As long as you are healthy then it will be possible to place dental implants. We will of course fully assess your medical history and discuss any potential problems and risks at the start of your treatment.
