Many people with dentures have trouble with their dentures moving when they eat and talk. In most cases people have more problems with their lower denture. Once your teeth are removed from your jaw, the jaw bone and gum start to shrink so that there is less gum for the denture to hold on to.  Unfortunately this problem will get worse with time and so you will likely find that your denture will progressively become looser over time. If your denture moves when you are eating or talking this can very often cause pains in your gums as well as being embarrassing as people will be able to tell that you have false teeth.

Dental Implants

Fortunately you do not need to suffer with loose teeth any longer !

If you have an ill fitting denture it is possible to solve your problems with dental implants. A dental implant is a small, titanium fixture that is inserted into your jaw and which can be used to hold a denture steady. Treatment with dental implants is the ideal solution if you have problems with your denture moving. It is a very common procedure and is relatively straight forward to have done and it can make a major difference to your life.

The pictures below show a patients that has had implants placed in their lower jaw to stabilise their lower denture.  If you would like more information about how dental implants can help improve your life then please contact us for a free consultation.
