Today was another busy sedation session. We normally run our dental sedation sessions on a Wednesday morning but can accomodate other days and times to suit you. Lyndsay is our head sedation nurse and is in charge of ensuring that everything runs smoothly, and today she was training one of our other nurses, Kirsty, in dental sedation. This was the first time Kirsty had seen sedation being carried out and she commented how she was amazed that the sedation worked so well and how effective it is at helping even the most anxious patiens relax.
Intravenous sedation is extremely safe and we constantly monitor your heart rate and breathing throughout treatment. Even though sedation is very safe we are fully prepared incase anythine unexpected were ever to happen. We have a stock of emergency medication, emergency oxygen and also a portable defibrilator. Also all of the staff at Complete Dental Care are regulary trained in dealing with medical emergencies as well as life support and of course how to use the defibrillator.
If you would like more information on sedation then please contact us at the dental practice on 0141 641 2107.
