To actually place a crown on a tooth we need to lightly trim the tooth by a few millimeters from all of its sides. This is so that when we make the crown to fit over your tooth it will completely cover your tooth and will not look bulky. As each crown is custom made by hand per tooth we can precisely select shades and hues for the crowns as well as the shapes and contours. Many times when we are making cosmetic crowns we will arrange for you to visit the technician who will be hand crafting the crowns. This is so that we can verify the how the final appearance will sit with your lips and the rest of your face which of course will play a large part in the overall appearance.
